2011 Garden Log

3/15/11:  
     Cleaned & turned over the bed for the peas, spinach, lettuce, and cleaned all of the heavy garden waste from the other beds.  I also turned over the bed for the strawberries.  I pulled the mulch off the over-Wintering carrots.  Bought a bag of organic garden fertilizer, 2 large pots to transplant the fig trees and a bag of potting soil.
     I plan to seed the peas, spinach, carrots and lettuce later this week, and fill in between the over-Wintered carrots as well - weather permitting.  Temps have been in the 40’s & 50’s!m

4/15:  Started building rabbit fences with green plastic chicken wire around the beds. So far, I have the peas, strawberries, lettuce, & spinach protected.
